Do you have a coat–or some coats–which are in good repair but not getting put to use in the upcoming cold weather months? Are you shopping for coats and are interested in picking up an extra for someone in need? If so, we hope that you will consider participating in our annual coat drive. According to an article in the Frederick News Post earlier this year, 2018’s count of homeless individuals in our county was 218 and that number was 70 more than the previous year. In addition our homeless neighbors in need, there are many others struggling to make ends meet. As we know, coats provide safety as well as warmth. All coats collected will be distributed right in our local community. We invite you to join us in our goal of collecting a minimum of 100 coats between now and December 16.
